Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum.

Take a Look at Our Door!

Brimhall School is having a Decorate Your Door Contest.  We chose to decorate our door based on the book Chyrsanthemum by Kevin Henkes.  We learned how to make tissue paper flowers.  We each made one or two flowers to put on the door.  Mrs. Doley drew the picture you see in the photo.  Charlie got to color the picture!  Wish us luck...we are really hoping we win!

How to Make a Tissue Paper Flower:
1. Collect the supplies (10 pieces of tissue paper, green pipe cleaner)
2. Put the tissue paper together in a neat pile.
3. Fold the paper like a fan.
4. Tie the pipe cleaner around the center of the paper.
5. If you'd like, you can cut the ends of the paper.
6. Gently pull each piece of paper towards pipe cleaner.
7. Make sure the paper is in a round shape, like a flower.

 Voila!
