Poem in Your Pocket Day

The highlight of our classes' day on Friday was definitely being able to fold up a favorite poem, stuff it into our pockets and recite it to anyone who asked us if we had something in our pockets!  This school-wide activity sparked our interest in poetry! 



We chose to put Hug O'War by Silverstein on our blog because of the beautiful message.  Emma copied this poem down at home and brought it to school in her pocket.  Another one of our classmates absolutely loved Sign by Silverstein!
