During our read aloud time, we are reading Babe, The Gallant Pig by Dick King-Smith. We hope to watch the movie Babe, The Sheep Pig before winter break. Fly, the sheep dog, has taken Babe under her wing. Babe is very curious about what Fly and her puppies are doing. We are excited to read more!
We have been working really hard on deciding whether a book is fiction or non-fiction. We have also been working on identifying fantasy fiction and realistic fiction.
Ms. Zbacnik read Chalk. This book was unique because there were no words. When the children in the story drew something with chalk, it came to life. A boy drew a picture of a T.Rex. It came to life and was chasing the children! They got rid of the T.Rex by drawing a rain cloud. The rain cloud came to life and washed the T.Rex away! We LOVED this book!
