Math Fun

Today we talked about symmetry.  We made symmetrical designs out of colored paper.  We looked at a book titled Mirror.  This book helped us to see what symmetry looks like. Here's how to make a symmetrical design:

A Collection of Symmetrical Designs

1. Fold a piece of paper in half

2. Cut a design out on the fold

3. Open it up to see if you like it

4. Fold it back together

5. Make tiny cuts to make it interesting

6. Glue your design on another piece of paper
